You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Arshina has been a Registered Social Worker for over seven years offering support to men and women in the areas of trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, relationships and addiction. Arshina supported a wide-range of clientele, including mandated clients court ordered to seek counselling, members in the Canadian Armed Forces voluntarily reaching out for support, survivors of trauma seeking a safe space and a listening ear, students struggling with adjustment to independent living and coping with social and academic pressures, and individuals with physical disabilities wanting to adapt to their new reality and healthily grieve their loss. As a blind woman who travels and works independently, Arshina appreciates first hand the challenges and barriers faced by those living with disabilities and trauma.
