Dr. Virley is a registered Psychologist in Ontario and Nova Scotia. She earned an MA in Experimental Psychology (Carleton) and a PhD in Clinical Psychology (University of Ottawa). While a student, she expanded her interests in clinical and community psychology, and program development and evaluation. She has worked as a clinical psychologist for more than 20 years in the Ottawa community in hospitals, school boards and private clinics. She has been an invited speaker at a number of forums, particularly to contribute her expertise in the areas of eating disorders, building resilience, and the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Ontario Psychology Association, the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators, and the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science
