Monica offers an objective and non-judgmental approach to allow her clients to explore themselves and ways to resolves whatever challenges they may be facing together. Over the past 15 years, she has specialized in supporting those who have experienced various types of trauma, those diagnosed with eating disorders and those struggling with depression, anxiety, addictions, and other mental health challenges. She has also worked with active duty and retired Canadian Armed Forces personnel, police and paramedic first responders for the past 10 years. Monica earned a Doctor of Social Science from Royal Roads University, and a Master of Social Work from University of Calgary. She has completed additional certifications in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy Training and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. She is a licensed member of the College of Social Workers in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
