Black Lives Matter.

This week we are pausing our regularly scheduled content to make space for Black voices and the important information being shared in online spaces.⁣

Our team stands in solidarity against racism, discrimination, and hate, and in support of diversity, cultural sensitivity, and respect. As actors in mental healthcare, we have a deep responsibility to uphold anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice.⁣

These are our values, but we know that we can and need to do more to further exemplify them in our work.⁣

Offline, we are taking this time to learn, reflect individually and discuss as a team, and determine what lasting actions we can take. This isn’t an effort or intention that ends there, but a commitment to ongoingly learn and grow through lasting action. We invite other startups and teams to join us in doing the same.⁣

For now, we'd like to direct you to a content pack from our friends and former office neighbours Crescendo, on Black Joy & Allyship. At the bottom of their page you can also find a link to a detailed list of anti-racism resources. Additionally, we'd like to highlight Black Health Alliance an incredible organization that has been fighting racial disparities in health and well-being for people from diverse Black communities for a long time.⁣

We’d also like to take this opportunity to applaud the work of fellow mental health groups WellNest Psychotherapy and The Healing Collective who organized fundraisers to support Black mental health.
