Amanda Neves is a Registered Social Worker in the Toronto area specializing in interpersonal relationships and life transitions. Collaborating with both young people and adults, she uses an eclectic approach to therapy that centres around warmth, humour, and self-compassion. Through each session, Amanda guides clients as they untangle inner conflict, helping them arrive at a greater sense of emotional clarity, in order to live a more confident and authentic life.

“I approach my work from an attachment lens, which emphasizes the degree of safety and security people have or seek to have with others. We are social beings that have thrived by living in community with others. However, when we don’t feel at ease in relationships, be it with your partner, family, colleagues and the like, life can be more challenging and emotions like sadness, anger, and anxiety can get the best of us. By relying on the therapeutic relationship as a place of safety and security, we can move towards healing both past and current hurts, while building self-compassion, insight, and resiliency.”
