Kristy brings more than 15 years of clinical experience in roles in the community and her private practice. She employs principles from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other methods to customize an approach that works for each client. She works with adults and adolescents in many stressful circumstances, with a particular interest in working with those newly diagnosed with a mood or anxiety disorder, supporting a loved one with mental illness, separating from a difficult partner, or having difficulty regulating their emotions. Kristy has practiced at Lakeridge Health and Ontario Shores Center for Mental Health Sciences.
“My approach is best described as non-judgmental,genuine, knowledge-driven, and respectful. If you think you might benefit from therapy, you’re right! Even when they aren’t in a crisis, most people find that it’s validating, helpful, and eye-opening to be safely heard.”
