Monica is a Registered Social Worker who works with individuals and couples living with trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and/or depression. Her approach focusses on creating safety, relationship building and teamwork. She has extensive experience working with first responders including military, veterans, police, fire and paramedics as well as with those diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and eating disorders.
Monica graduated with a Masters of Social Work at the University of Calgary and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Currently, she is completing her PhD at the Interdisciplinary Studies Department at Royal Roads University. She has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for insomnia, suicide prevention and eating disorders as well as Hakomi.
