Lisa Huntsburg

Lisa is a Registered Social Worker who graduated with her Masters of Social Work from The University of Western Ontario. Since graduating, Lisa has supported adults impacted by mental health, substance use and cognitive related challenges in a variety of settings. Lisa has experience working in the community, residential, hospital and outpatient clinics. She is trained in several therapeutic treatment modalities including CBT, DBT and Mindfulness. Lisa uses her gentle approach to connect with individuals and a strengths-based lens to assist others in empowering themselves. Lisa has a particular interest in Gerontology and supporting adults as they age. This has led Lisa to complete additional education including a certificate from Ryerson University in Aging and Gerontology across the Lifespan. Lisa also has a particular interest in supporting adults with their recovery journey from substance use with a harm-reduction approach. Lisa has completed training in SMART Recovery facilitation and is well versed in supporting individuals and their loved ones impacted by substance use and process addictions.
