Did you know that anxiety is the most common of all mental health challenges in Canada? Health Canada estimates that one in ten Canadians struggle with anxiety disorders. Every one of us may feel anxious at certain times, and that is part of normal life and functioning. This can be related to work stress, life changes, family challenges or other situation.
However, feelings of worry, stress, or fear can intensify, last a long time, and negatively impact our lives. In such cases, you may benefit from therapy.

Mental health care is complex – but finding it doesn’t have to be.
Layla helps individuals, couples, and families find a therapist or mental health group that is the right fit for their needs. Our goal is to help you receive high-quality support that suits your needs, preferences, and schedule.
When connecting you with a therapist or mental health group, we take into consideration different factors such as your presenting concerns, clinical preferences, interpersonal preferences, geography, etc. Have a specific preference for your therapist? Let your Care Coordinator know and we will do the searching.
Our clients are interested in self-discovery, emotional healing, or are working through a range of challenges that respond well to therapy. For example, these include: stress, anxiety, phobias, depression, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, self-esteem, anger, addictions, trauma, relationships, family conflict, couples counselling, and life transitions.
At this time, Layla is only able to work with clients who are residents of Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and Nova Scotia. Please note that Layla does not provide crisis support. If you or someone else is in crisis and require immediate assistance, call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
No, you don’t need a formal referral or diagnosis from another provider. We are happy to assist anyone with their unique challenges and goals.
