If so, the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Group for Returning to Work (RTW) may be right for you.

What it is

As part of the online 12 week/2-hours per week DBT Skills Group for RTW, participants work in a group format with a dedicated Layla partner therapist to:

  • Learn and implement core Dialectical Behaviour Therapy techniques and strategies to address return to work related symptoms
  • Increase understanding of emotions related to the return to work process
  • Build self-confidence and self-esteem to feel more prepared and capable of reintegrating into the work environment successfully

The DBT Skills Group for RTW group aims to empower individuals with relevant emotional regulation skills, interpersonal skills, and confidence to reintegrate into the work environment successfully and navigate the challenges that may arise during this transition.

Is the DBT Skills Group for RTW right for me?

The DBT Skills Group for RTW group aims to empower individuals who are currently off of work due to an injury, physical, or mental illness with relevant emotional regulation skills, interpersonal skills, and confidence to reintegrate into the work environment successfully and navigate the challenges that may arise during this transition. If you feel like you can use some support to work through situations to effectively apply DBT Skills as you continue to prepare to return to work, this group may be a good fit for your needs!

The DBT Skills Group for RTW supports adults over the age of 18.

How much does the DBT Skills Group for RTW cost?

The cost of the DBT Skills Group for RTW is $1170 per program, taxes included. The fee includes access to all weekly sessions and a DBT skills library and a completion report. You will retain access to Layla’s DBT library 3 months after the date of your last group session.

Participants will receive receipts with the provider's license for insurance reimbursement.

Planning to travel?

Participants must attend virtual sessions from the province listed on their home address when they registered for group. This is because the group facilitator must be registered to practice in the province where the client is attending group sessions.

Are services covered by extended health benefits?

Our services are covered by most extended health benefits. If you’re planning on using your extended health benefits, we highly recommend you check your coverage in advance of the call so that we can connect you to the right provider.

Here’s what to look for in your benefits booklet, insurance portal, or when you speak to an insurance representative: 1. Registered Social Workers, or 2. Registered Psychotherapists (RP) or Registered Counselling Therapists (RCT). If you need our help in checking benefits, please let us know on the phone and we’ll gladly do what we can.

What is the refund policy?

If you wish to cancel and withdraw from the group, you may do so with a full refund any time prior to 5 business days before the group start date, by contacting us at groups@layla.care.

Excluding extenuating circumstances, withdrawals and refunds are not accepted after the group has commenced. Attending sessions is important for each individual participant’s success in the group, as well as for the group cohesion and collective learning process. If you have to miss a session, please contact the therapist to let them know. Three consecutive absences will result in a drop-out with no refund.

Can I contact the facilitator outside of sessions?

The facilitator is available to respond to non-urgent questions outside of sessions but is not accessible for emergency or crisis support. You may forward your non-urgent questions to the facilitator via email and expect an answer on session day. In the event of an emergency or crisis, please call 911 or go to your nearest Emergency Department for further assistance.
