Her approach relies on an authentic connection between therapist and client. She works with a practical focus and no-nonsense style, aiming for making the most out of every session.
Elizabeth has completed formalized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), though pulls from many different methods tailored to the individual client she is working with.
“Therapy isn't about getting the right answer, it's about making choices that move you forward. Many aspects of life are out of our control. If we focus on our decisions, we'll find greater contentment. Little shifts make a big difference. In my office, laughter, cursing, crying or yelling are welcome. I have curious questions, off-the-wall analogies, and shift gears as required.”
